The Heart of the Matter
The Heart of the Matter
River Dusk
22″ x 31″ archival inkjet print
This composite of three images (I know, it looks like four, but one of the panels comes from the background image) represent an important phenomenon and place in my life. In the summer, usually late in the preparations for dinner, it’s not unusual for some member of the family to exclaim, “Oh My God, everyone get out here. You’ve gotta see this sunset!” So we stop for a bit and walk down to the river’s edge to watch, mostly in silence, as the sun sets. In those moments, we are one with each other and will all things, space, time and light.
